Position Summary
The District Manager is responsible for the overall performance, profitability, leadership, and operational execution of their assigned district. This role functions as the business leader of the district with full accountability for financial results, employee performance, operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and compliance.
This position requires a hands-on leader who can drive results, enforce standards, develop teams, and maintain strong customer relationships while operating in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities Financial Performance
- Drive district revenue and profitability
- Maintain labor cost targets and operational efficiency
- Manage staffing levels and overtime based on workload
- Ensure work orders are completed, approved, and invoiced timely
- Identify and implement process improvements
Operations Management
- Oversee daily shop and field operations
- Monitor scheduling, workflow, and work order status
- Ensure proper use of company systems including IM3, TessaLink, and IronTrac
- Maintain operational readiness for audits and customer requirements
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and develop supervisors, technicians, and administrative personnel
- Set clear expectations and maintain accountability
- Foster a professional, respectful, and team-oriented culture
- Ensure employees are properly trained and aligned with company expectations
Customer Relations
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Resolve operational and customer concerns effectively
- Represent the company professionally in all interactions
- Support district growth through reliability and execution
Compliance, Safety & Quality
- Enforce company policies and safety standards
- Ensure compliance with operational and documentation requirements
- Support incident investigations and corrective actions
- Maintain accountability for company equipment and assets
Qualifications Preferred Experience
- Leadership or management experience in industrial, oilfield, manufacturing, NDT, or field service environments
- Experience managing operations, scheduling, and workforce performance
- Financial awareness and operational decision-making capability
- Experience with ERP or operational systems preferred
Skills & Abilities
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and operational software systems
- Valid driver’s license required
- Willingness to travel as needed
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in both office and industrial environments
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, and work in varying weather conditions
- Ability to work extended hours when operationally necessary
